About Dr. Salomon Maya
Dr. Maya is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and received extensive training and experience in all aspects of dentistry. A San Fernando Valley native, he returned to the valley to give back and serve his community.
Dr. Maya has also completed advanced training in cosmetic dentistry through various postdoctoral programs. He is a member of the American Dental Association and diligently keeps up with the latest trends and continuing dental education.
Dr. Maya is committed to honest, open communication and building long-lasting patient relationships based on mutual respect and trust. Through comprehensive, individualized treatment plans, we strive to ensure the wants and needs of each patient are recognized and fulfilled, instilling a desire to achieve and maintain optimum oral health.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Dr.Maya was very knowledgeable and did not make me feel rushed and answered all my questions as this was my first visit to him and it was an emergency appointment. Everything he advised I do has aided in my comfort regarding the pain I was experiencing. I am switching dentists to say the least so I will be returning to him.

The best of best. If you have a PPO insurance plan, sign up right away. Great staff as well. I had a pain in a tooth. Not only did Dr. Maya give me a thorough examination but he sat down with me for several minutes explaining my expectations for further treatment. I asked a lot of questions and fully addressed all of my concerns.

Although I was five minutes late, I was still seen right away. My cleaning was thorough and I was given tips to improve my teeth health along the way. The nurses are very friendly and Dr Maya has a great bedside manner. He took his time giving me all of my options for my wisdom teeth and made sure that all of my questions were answered. I've seen him twice now and I'd say he will be my permanent dentist now!

Went for the first time. I had only scheduled a cleaning, but because I was new, they recommended I also get an exam and x-rays, and were able to fit that in to the schedule. I got seen promptly. Even though there were issues with my insurance (it was actually a big pain because of something I didn't know about prior), the front desk staff was very kind and professional. Dr. Maya also informed me that he'd be able to fix a problem that my previous dentist hadn't been able to, which is great! I'm so glad to have found someone good in my neighborhood so I don't have to keep driving to the west side for my dental care.

He was great! Very personal and knowledgeable. I went in for a cleaning and to ask about a suggestion from my last dentist that I have all 4 wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Salomon laid out my options and let me know that it was not necessary at this point so now I don't have to go through unnecessary surgery. Great bedside manner and professional, well explained opinions. Officially making him my new dentist.

I hadn't been to the dentist in 2 years and explained to him that I was a nervous dental patient. He was very patient with me and asked me a few questions about my concerns and then explained what he was doing during the procedures, often asking me if I needed a break. I really appreciated his beside manner and would recommend him wholeheartidly.

I have been to Dr. Maya now 3xs and am VERY satisfied. I selected him because he takes Blue Shield, his office is nearby, and I read good reviews. As it turns out he is one of the best dentists I've ever been to. He doesn't have all new equipment nor a large team of front desk personnel, but that's because he doesn't charge a fortune. His Novocaine shots almost put me to sleep (ok maybe not, but virtually painless), he does his own teeth cleaning, great chairside manner, very pleasant staff, plenty of paid parking for first/longer visits at a convenient location, and as a bonus, a terrific window view.

Excellent, knowledgeable, trustworthy dentist. Many dentists before have tried to tell me I have more problems than I do, so they could get paid for the work. Dr Maya said my teeth were in excellent condition, which I know to be true because I work very hard at taking care of my teeth. Nice to find an honest dentist!

Dr.Maya is absolutely super. In my short time with him as a patient, he has already performed both cosmetic and non-cosmetic procedures and they have been done with care and have come our wonderfully. He is patient and kind and super efficient at what he does.
Tip: Use street parking rather than the lot. No meters!

Always great. Office may have been running late, which isn't a big deal, I was the one in a bit of a hurry and got there early. He knew I was in a rush to get back to work and got the fillings done in a jiff. :D

I'm amazed at how an online recommendation from a site like ZocDoc can really yield in a quality experience.
I typically use Yelp and other sites for restaurant and club recommendations, and based on my experience with Dr. Maya, I'm DEFINITELY using the site again.
Dr. Maya was courteous, professional, and explained all the procedures I wanted knowledge on, before starting with any of them. His staff is great, and the office was conveniently located near my home.
He also takes Aetna, my dental insurance provider, so that was a plus. Not to mention, his staff seems to specialize in finding ways to make your insurance plan work to your benefit, when finalizing the details for billing.
Go see Dr. Maya, you won't be disappointed.
