About Dr. Shady Samuel

Dr. Samuel is a gifted pediatric dentist with a love of treating children. After graduating dental school, he decided to pursue additional training at Methodist hospital where his passion for treating children matured. He then went on to complete his pediatric specialty residency at Staten Island University Hospital. Dr. Samuel has treated patients in hospital settings, private practice and remote underserved areas including Tampico, Mexico.
During his time off, Dr. Samuel enjoys being outdoors with his wife, Kelly and their two year old son, Joshua.

Too Easy... I arrived and had to fill out just one form since they had my zocdoc paperwork. Dr. SAM was pleasant , efficient and made my kid a balloon animal at the end of the visit. My son loves going to the dentist now. Thanks!

My son had an appointment with Dr Samuel to get some cavities filled. He is very young and I was apprehensive about how it would all go. Dr. Samuel had my son laughing and comfortable right away and now he associates the dentist with ballon animals, toys and a fun time. Thank you Dr Samuel!

After x-rays, Dr. Sam determined that the baby eye teeth were interfering with my daughters adult teeth pathway . Dr. Sam extracted them without a tear, and my daughter loathes needles! What a find!

Amazing. My daughter do not like to visit the dentist at all. She had such a bad experience the first time. When we arrived the staff is very friendly and Dr. Shady is wonderful. She's looking forward for her follow up. I definately recommend this place.

Overall we like Dr. Shady Samuel and are very pleased with the dental services he provides. His assistant is very pleasant and always plays with our son and does her best to try to calm him before his checkups. My only issue are the hours. As of now, the earliest appointments are 10am and there is still a short wait time before the appointment starts. Other than that, we are very happy and will continue to utilize him as our son's dentist.

I couldn't have had a better experience here! It was my son's first time at the dentist, and he was slightly nervous at first, but Dr. Samuel & his hygienist put him at ease right away & he was smiling the whole time! He explained everything he did beforehand so my son would be prepared, he was quick & efficient & he made my son feel so special. I'll recommend him to anyone I know looking for a pediatric dentist!

This was the best dental visit ever for my twins. We'eve been to many pediatric dental offices in the past and none of them were a good match. I'm glad to say that I have found an office that my twins will continue going to, even when they step into adulthood. Leaf dental offers both pediatric and adult dentistry. It is a one stop shop!

Today was my daughter's first visit to the dentist ever. Let's just say that before the visit, we the parents were more nervous and afraid than our daughter. We were scared that our daughter would not cooperate and open and kick and cry. As soon as we met Dr. Sam all of our fears dissappeared. Dr. Sam is great with kids. He is gentle and our whole family left extremely happy. We can't wait until our daughter's six months visit.

Dr. Samuel was awesome. He certainly is very gifted with kids. There was nothing but laughter in the treatment room. The visit was short and sweet. My son cannot stop talking about Dr. Samuel and how much fun he had during his dental appointment. Highly recommend dentist for nervous parents out there!
