About Dr. Shawn Young
Dr. Young went on to attend Oregon Health and Sciences University where he received his dental degree as a Doctor of Medical Dentistry. He graduated at the top of his class with both clinical and academic honors. He was selected for induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. This is a prestigious award given to those who excel not only academically but also display clinical excellence.
Dr. Young moved to Arizona in 2001 and has since been in private practice. He considers being a dentist a lifelong learning process and is a firm believer in continuing education. He has received special training in cosmetic dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Central Arizona Dental Association. He has received special training in cosmetic and implant dentistry. He completed Bicon institute’s surgical implant course. He believes in preventative dentistry and treats his patients with care and listens to their needs.
When not in the office, you can find Dr. Young spending time outdoors with his son Parker. He enjoys working on many projects at home and is an experienced cabinetmaker.

I admit I have crippling anxiety when it comes to the dentist. So it was super reassuring how kind and respectful the staff was. They were detailed and thorough. And they were kind along with being very professional. I would 100% recommend Dr. Young to all my friends and family!

Dr. Young and Alice (his Dental Assistant) were incredibly welcoming and kind. You can truly tell daycare care awe’re incredibly welcoming and kind. You can truly tell they care about the work they do. They were both very thorough and educated me on their exam findings throughout the entire experience and educated me on how to better my dental hygiene in a kind and respectful manner. The rapport they built with me in the short time they had me in office honestly made me feel like I had been going to them for years, even though this was my first appointment.

The office is a bit of a drive for me and I really considered switching to a dentist closer to home but after my visit I will most certainly be going back. Everyone in the clinic was extremely friendly. I didn’t waste any time waiting around for someone to see me either. After the tech was done taking X-rays Dr. Young took no more than a few minutes to them and was in the room. With filling out new patient paperwork, getting X-rays done, and the exam and cleaning I spent no more than about 45 minutes there and couldn’t be happier with the service I got!

Dr. Young and all the staff I came in contact with were amazing. Covid safely measures in place. Tempure check upon arrival and masks. It had been a while since my last dentist appointment with a dentist out of stateand it was kinda scary even as an adult but Alice made me feel comfortable. That first person dealing with you sets the tone so Thank you Alice. Dr. Young was awesome very approachable and showed concern for the health of my teeth. Will definitely be back next month. Faith in dentists restored????

I have pretty bad anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist. Everyone here was welcoming and kind. His hygienist even came in before him and gave me a thorough explanation of my treatment plan. Looking forward to continuing getting care from Dr. Young and his wonderful staff.

If you have any kind of anxiety about going to the dentist this is the place to go. From front to back everyone is amazing! I was told step my step what was going on or what the dentist or his assistant was about to do next and they made sure I was comfortable the whole time. A+ treatment all around.

We've been coming to Dr. Young's for years. We love him and his staff. He is very professional and we have always received top notch care. I have had 2 crowns and 2 fillings done by him and have had no problems with either. Although not a pediatric specific dentist his staff is great with kids and Dr. Young has done 2 fillings on my daughter. They have even printed off coloring sheets for my kids in the waiting room while I had a check-up. I've never had a problem making an appointment either. I really can't say enough great things about Dr. Young and all his staff.

We are very lucky to finally find a great dentist. Dr Young is very kind, patient, and extremely professional. He is very honest about which procedures need to be done and why. Making appointment is a breeze and there is very little time waiting around before they call you in. The front office, the dental hygienist, the dental assistant and the dentist himself are top notch, and this is coming from someone who has real anxiety going to the dentist.
