With over 20 years in practice, Dr. Shawna Omid provides experienced dental care to members of the Torrance, Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes, and greater Los Angeles community. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed residencies in General Dentistry and Hospital Dentistry at the Veterans Affairs Wadsworth Medical Center. With an emphasis on safe, accurate, and efficient treatment, Dr. Omid and her talented staff work together to offer their patients the most comprehensive care available.
Dr. Omid offers a wide range of services including Invisalign, implants, full mouth reconstruction, cosmetic dentistry, and dental cleanings, to name a few. As a former faculty member of UCLA School of Dentistry, nothing less than perfect is acceptable when it comes to delivering the best care for her patients. Her office is supplied with advanced equipment to ensure that each patient receives a precise diagnosis and treatment plan.
When Dr. Omid is not practicing dentistry, she loves to spend time with her family, travel, and participate in spiritual activities.

LOVE. I was in a severe bike accident and lost 3 teeth. I had a root canal, along with a custom temporary retainer, before getting permanent new imitation teeth. Both Dr. Omid and her daughter Dr. Nejad were warm, medically thorough, emotionally thoughtful, and informative. They are very human took the time to know me as a unique human, but also quick and effective with the procedures. I didn't feel any pain at all during or after the root canal. They also allowed me to set a schedule that was comfortable for me in terms of dealing with the proceduces physically and financially. I didn't have to do it all at once, and paced it out over multiple days, so I could keep working but have temporary teeth to keep my smile looing great in between procedures. The office staff is great as well, I'm new to LA and struggle to get to the office in traffic, and they worked with me to get me seen and gave me driving tips to avoid traffic the next time.

I left the office of Dr. Omid feeling better than I thought I would. Her assistant who did. the x-rays was very through and Dr. Omid was vert gentle with my mouth. She discussed my treatment throughly with me and answered my questions. She knows. that I am a "dental chicken" and discussed with me how she would proceed. I have scheduled another appointment with her for follow-up treatment.

Came in for a teeth cleaning. Waited an hour and a half past my appointment time to find out the doctor wouldn't perform the teeth cleaning on the same day and I'd have to come back.

Loved this office and staff went to another office where they quoted me $1100 for an onlay on a tooth that didnt need it. I came to Dr. Omid and she diagnosed all I needed was a filling. I love that she went the old fashioned way and tried to save my tooth that way it still worked and only paid $100/ Love this place and would recommend it to anyone
