Dr. Backos earned her dental degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, formerly Columbia School of Dental and Oral Surgery, in 1988. She completed a comprehensive general practice residency at Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn & Queens in 1989. She is a longtime member of the American Dental Association® and the Academy of General Dentistry and has served as an attending mentor in the dental residency program at JFK University Medical Center. Dr. Backos is also a member of the Seattle Study Club®. Throughout her career, she has been active in community outreach, speaking with scouts and students in preschool through high school to promote oral health and interest in dentistry. Outside the office, Dr. Backos is a dedicated volunteer in her church and supports organizations such as the LEAF Scholarship Foundation. She has been practicing dentistry since 1988 and is known for her commitment to excellence in patient care.
