More about Dr. Stephanie Eissens, DDS
Dr. Stephanie Eissens was born and raised in North Carolina in the small eastern town of Chadbourn. Following graduation from West Columbus High School in 1998, she continued to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to complete her undergraduate studies. In 2002, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.
During Dr. Eissens’ time at UNC, she had the opportunity to participate with Medical Missions International on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. This life-changing experience afforded her the opportunity to assist on medical and dental surgeries and fostered her desire to be a health care professional. Also, during this time her older brother, Dr. Jeremiah Eissens, had been accepted to dental school at UNC and introduced her to the field of dentistry.
Dr. Eissens loved the idea of being able to provide care in a field that not only impacts a patient’s health, but also their self confidence and daily life. She was accepted to the UNC School of Dentistry in the fall of 2003 and graduated with honors with her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2007.

Dr. Eissens and her staff are the best of the best. I had a horrible dental experience as a teenager and have since been terrified to go to the dentist. I am making regular appointments to see her, and today was my cleaning and a couple fillings, and they made me feel completely comfortable and eased all my anxiety. I will recommend them to everyone!

I’m so thankful to have found Dr. Eissens and her staff! The office is modern and clean with a relaxing environment. The wait time is minimal and the front desk staff are courteous and helpful. The hygienist (Teresa) is wonderful! I explained that I have a small mouth and the adult x-ray film and holders always cut my mouth when I bite down. Teresa was very patient and gentle and the process was practically pain-free.
Dr. Eissens is attentive, caring, and professional. She and her assistant (Rashelle) ensured that I was well-cared for and in no discomfort throughout my visit. I am very pleased with the level of care I received. I can honestly say I left with the best fitting crown I have ever gotten (which is saying a lot since I have had quite a few!) I feel no difference in my bite and my teeth do not feel crowded. This one fits perfectly and I don’t even notice it’s there! My nighttime mouth guard still fits the same with no adjustments.
I highly recommend Dr. Eissens and her practice.
