About Dr. Tingting Z Freed
Dr. Freed graduated top of her class with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2008. She received extensive training with children, adults, and geriatric patients in private practice, community, and rural settings. She brings this experience to every patient.
Outside of private practice, she volunteers on humanitarian trips to underserved communities in countries such as Ecuador and Honduras. She also volunteers at the local Northern Virginia Dental Clinic, where low-income residents throughout the area can access oral health services.
Born in Nanjing, China, Dr. Freed moved to the United States at 11 years old. She is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese and can also communicate in dental Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys yoga and hiking in Great Falls. She is also an accomplished guzheng (zither) and violin player.
Dr. Freed has a genuine, friendly, and caring “chairside” manner. She has a calming presence and is meticulous with her work. She consistently exceeds the annual requirement of continuing education to ensure that she is well versed in the latest technologies and techniques. She looks forward to providing dental care for you and your family!

I very much enjoyed my experience- I've been putting of dentist work for awhile now and she was very quick, efficient and direct and set up an action plan immediately. Her assistant was wonderful as well and they were very gentle during the deep cleaning. She answered all my questions and was very clear about what was going to be done and why. I can't rate Dr. Zhu highly enough. I hadn't been to the dentist in far too long before seeing her and needed to have a lot of work done. She was very straightforward and non-judgemental in developing the treatment plan. She is also a very gentle and skilled dentist - numbing injections and procedures were painless.
If you are dentist phobic, or just have put off dental visits, I highly recommend Dr. Zhu.

She is a very good dentist. I was sad when she left previous Alexandria office. But I was able to track her down and now I drive approx. 40 minutes to her new office. But I do not mind because she does excellent job. My kids love her, too. She is the only dentist they trust and it says a lot!

There is a spa-like atmosphere, which is unusual for a dental office. I actually feel at peace when I'm sitting in the chair.....strange but what a relief. Dr. Zhu fix a really large cavity with no pain and is very gentle. Really like this office and Dr. Zhu is wonderful.
