Dr Uzma Khan is a general dentist who has attended the prestigious Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine and Barnard College, Columbia University for undergraduate studies. She has also co-authored articles published in the Journal of Neurochemistry while she worked as a research scientist at the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in the department of Neurology focusing on Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Amyotrophic Lateral sclerosis.
Dr Khan is also a licensed make-up artist and esthetician and enjoys weight training/fitness, nutrition, alternative medicine, and dancing.
Dr Khan is a native New Yorker and has been practicing in Brooklyn and Manhattan for twelve years. She has a friendly disposition, vivacious personality, and a gentle touch.

Dr. Khan billed our insurance for services we never received, including appointments that never occurred. She was rude on the phone and wouldn't remove the charges. It took over 6 months to go through a review and appeals process; thankfully, we were right and the insurance got its money back, as did we. During this time, I couldn't go to the dentist because she had billed most of our allowed amount. My husband and I will never go back. If you are going to visit her, check your bills and insurance statements carefully.

Dr. Khan was super nice person!! When I came there, she was sitting on the front desk. I didn't realize the is actually the dentist. She is very professional. She cleaned my teeth and filled my cavities very well. Highly recommend her!

Dr. Kahn was EXCELLENT and on a scale of 1 to 5 I'd rate the service a 10. I was her final appointment of the day and she treated me like it was the first. Very pleasant bedside manner, She checked me in, did the paperwork herself and cleaned my teeth. Prior to the cleaning, she took precautions to explain the low dose radiation x-ray techniques, which are important to me. She discovered one of my fillings had partially broken apart and she fixed it with PAINLESS DENTISTRY - also a huge plus. This was the best dental experience I've had in a long time and I can't wait to come back in December! GO SEE DR. KAHN.

My appointment was at 5:30pm and I got there way before. She was the only one there and she greeted me at the door and since there weren't any other patients at that time, she took care of me right away. The office is spacious and beautiful, very modern. Initially I didn't know I was dealing with Dr. Khan but after she introduced herself I was impressed. After the paperwork was done, I waited for about five minutes for her to set up and she took me right in.
I had a dental cleaning and check up which included X-rays and she was just so nice and I felt comfortable. Very professional and down to earth, she was so nice to get along with. She did a great job with my teeth and I'm very satisfied.
Overall, a great experience. I've always gone to clinics and this time with Dr. Khan was so much better, everything was clean and the equipment was top notch.
I'm also happy she booked me again for another appointment in six months.
Other words, you should definitely give her business a shot if you're looking for a dentist.

I have been attending this dentist for a bit over a year now (my latest visits don't show up on ZocDoc, I went just yesterday 11/11/15 for a deep cleaning). That's after 6-7 years of not going to the dentist. Now going on a regular basis, there's been a such an improvement in my dental health that I actually notice! It's nice to see results which are not always guaranteed, even if you pay for it.
–But yes, I remember my last dentist, he was talking on the phone while doing my filling, there were a few moments where I noticed he was trying to recover from possibly messing up. Because of that I like/ preferred that Dr. Khan actually speaks to me when working. And, to add to that, I actually feel like she really gives me her time to get my teeth in a better state, which is obviously not obliged on her.
–Also, I wanted to point out there were probably a handful of instances where Dr. Khan could have really milked the money, but she didn't push me that way. And I really respect that; that shows INTEGRITY, in a world that is lacking it. I pray, God gives her a greater return! Ameen. You know, everyone has a job, I wonder how many maintain that quality of integrity though. It's rare. But at the same time, she let me know what I should do and what I should come in for. So there was mutual benefit if anything.
–That said, I hope these are specific examples of how Dr. Khan is not only a friendly, nice and lovely person, but gets you the results too!
–And, yes, I'm not gonna lie, the modern construction of the place, and I'm sure updated equipment, makes it more enjoyable to be there.
–And, personally, I like the surrounding neighborhood and shops that are around. Mostly East Asian goods, and not too far off on 8th Ave and 60th St there's a beautiful Turkish Masjid. And just walking around is really nice. Knock out many birds with one stone, I say.

This is my 3rd visit to Dr. Khan, and it's been a pleasure as always. Attentive consultation, zero pain during the procedure (molar root canal with bifurcated nerve), great attention to details, and most importantly, great "chairside manner" and putting patients at ease. Highly recommended.

I was seen right away by Dr. Kahn. Lucky me, I was greeted by the doctor herself, unfortunately her receptionist was running late, but Dr. Kahn provided excellent conversation while documenting all the necessary information to intake a new patient. She was apologetic for staffing issues and reassuring of the wait. It was well worth the outcome. Dr. Kahn Provided excellent comfort and shed no judgment even after I expressed that I had not been to see a dentist for quite some time. Dr. Kahn was informative and relatable. The office itself is gorgeous, a personal reflection of Dr. Kahn without a doubt. I would and HAVE already recommended Dr. Kahn to all of my colleagues and friends. I look forward to a long standing relationship in good oral health with Bliss!!
