I had a great experience from the moment I walked in to to the moment I walked out. The lovely lady at the counter is so sweet and welcoming! The technician that did my cleaning at my first appointment was very kind and thorough and made me feel very comfortable. At my 2nd appointment, Dr. Kravets noticed I was very nervous about getting my cavity filling (I was always a bad kid at the dentist). Her and her assistant did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable and relaxed. They were personable and warm. She made me feel like I was a patient that has been going for years. If you have a fear of the dentist (like I do) Dr. Kravets is the best person to go to.

The appointment was a disaster. The doctor cut my lip with the machine (it was a working borer, not just a sharp end). It was bleeding the whole day after, and turned purple.

I booked a root canal through zocdoc but their office received it as a cleaning. I was desperate and Dr. Kravets saw the pain I was in. She took that into consideration and performed the root canal flawlessly. I'm forever grateful.

I absolutely love Dr.Kravets! She is a delightful person and an awesome dentist. She really knows what she's doing and works with a great level of detail and expertise. Dr. Kravets has such a gentle touch and she tries hard to accommodate you in any way. She won't quit until her work is perfect. I wish other doctors were like this. I would only trust Dr.Kravets with my pearly whites.

So let me start off by saying that there was a strange lapse between the switching of my health insurances (which either she could have accepted) which I had phone numbers and id numbers to clarify. I also had a voicemail left by my health insurance clarifying the problem and a number to contact. Her front staff named Erica was not aweful but also was not eager to easily come to a resolution. She seemed in fear of this "Dr. Kravets" who when was told the situation said clearly in front of me "I don't give a damn about any voicemail all I care about is who is going to pay the bill!" My jaw almost fell on the floor. Then I was observing her as another employee walked in apparently a few minutes late from moving her car (I saw her leave a few moments before) and she had told Mrs. Kravets quickly but clearly (in this same fear stricken way as the front desk Erica) that she apologized for being late because of an issue with a chance in parking regulations due to construction and Kravets quite sternly said "Excuse me?!" And made her repeat herself and then corrected the way she said the sentance. I sensed a huge level of power tripping.
I actually wanted to see a female Dr to support women and reviwed Kravets ratings and did notice one about her in a negative light but chose to look past that and judge for myself. I have had terrible wisdom tooth pain and up until that point I was willing to pay out of pocket and resolve the insurance later but after hearing her speak to her employee's like that I would be damned if I would put a penny in her hand. It it always better to be humble. Will not return with my business.

Yanina Kravets and the staff of Gentle Dental are magical. They are professional. Efficient. Fun. Talkative, with a bedside patter that keeps you relaxed. You're treated like a friend as you are lead to your room and then they spend an hour taking things out of your head and putting new things in it and then you THANK THEM for it. See? Wizards.
I have been seeing Dr. Kravets at Gentle Dental for years. She has eased me through the difficult process of restoring my damaged teeth. I came in five years ago with a horrow show and now I'll be beaming at my wedding in October. She is the best tooth wizard in New York.

I am a big baby when it comes to the dentist and get major anxiety anytime I need to get work done on my teeth. Dr. Kravets made me feel very comfortable and assured me we would not start until I was absolutely ready. My biggest fear is that huge needle being stuck in my mouth but honestly, she was so gentle and it was merely a pinch just to slightly numb the area. Once I was numb enough, she injected the majority of the anesthetic and I didn't feel a thing! 2 fillings later and I was done! She was very fast and efficient and made sure I was doing ok the entire procedure. My fear of the dentist no longer exists and I am so grateful to have found this practice!

Good. I was disappointed that I spent so much time completing intake questionnaires for this office on zocdoc but then had to fill them all out again when I arrived at the office for the appointment. The lady working at the front desk was not very nice to me when I asked why I had to complete all the paperwork again. It was like she had no idea that the dentist had an online questionnaire. What is the point of having an intake form online to make new patient registration easier of its worthless?
