About Dr. Vladislav Gerts
Dr. Gerts graduated from New York University College of Dentistry with honors, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and specializing in oral and maxillofacial surgery. After NYU, he underwent rigorous residency training at Staten Island University Hospital, where he enhanced his knowledge in all aspects of general dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Gerts received the Dr. A. Puclisi Award, given to a resident who exemplifies leadership qualities, patient care, and a desire to further oneself professionally.
Dr. Gerts has been a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry since 2006. In the spring and summer of 2009, he completed a mini residency in Oral Implantology. His research work includes studies on “Treatment and Management of Injuries Involving the Lingual Artery” and “Alveolar Osteitis – Etiology and Treatment.”

My experience was not bad, but they did not take my insurance after I fill out the form online. Let them know the type of insurance I have they let me come in and then tell me that they don’t take United Healthcare HMO so I have to find another dentist waste my time.

They don't take Medicaid through United Healthcare for the past year or so. When I told the front desk attendant to update this information so other people don't waste their time, she gave me a rude and unhelpful "okay??" reply. Don't waste your time!

The experience was uncomfortable like any other dentist appointment but the doctor was amazing, patient, explained everything throughly and overall did an amazing job.
The receptionist with dark brown hair and a septum piercing on the other hand was extremely rude, short worded, and rolled her eyes as if she couldn’t be bothered. Couldn’t take the time to patiently explained the issues at hand and seemed to be on a private phone call while checking me out. If you can’t deal with the public nor have patience or bedside manners then maybe find something else to do.

Great experience. Since I’m a new client the office took addl X-rays. Communication was great and treatment options and cost were clear and transparent.
They were able to replace my crown same day as my initial cleaning appointment.
