About Dr. Zev Kaufman
For well over a decade, Dr. Zev Kaufman has been known in the dental community as 'the dentist's dentist.' Graduating with Honors and at the top of his class from the world-renowned New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Kaufman was one of a select few students in his class to complete the Comprehensive Care and Applied Practice Administration Honors program, as well as the Orthodontic Honors program. With an excellent dental education, Dr. Kaufman set out to be the ultimate dental specialist.
After being awarded the DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree, Dr. Kaufman completed a yearlong comprehensive general dentistry residency program at St. Barnabas Hospital.
Following his residency, Dr. Kaufman was accepted to the post-graduate certification program in the specialty of Prosthodontics at New York University. Prosthodontics is the only, American Dental Association, recognized specialty in Implant, Esthetic, and Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Kaufman completed the program successfully and received his certification in the specialty of Prosthodontics.
Dr. Kaufman was then offered the unique opportunity to continue his studies at his alma mater at the Department of Implant Dentistry as a fellow. After two years, Dr. Kaufman graduated from the implant department and received his post-graduate certification in Implant Surgery and restoration.
Throughout his five years of post-doctoral studies, Dr. Kaufman maintained a private, part-time, dental practice and also taught X-ray technology and diagnosis at the department of Radiology at NYU.
Upon graduation as a fellow in implant dentistry, Dr. Kaufman was asked to stay as a clinical assistant professor at the Post-graduate department of Implant Dentistry at New York University. Along with research and hands-on patient

Dr. Kaufman was one of the most pleasant doctor's I've had the pleasure to meet. I went to see him for a consultation after I researched several Prosthodontists. He was extremely thorough in his assessment, discussing options, etc., and never once did I feel rushed. I felt concerned on his behalf because he was spending so much time with me! Additionally, he knew I was "shopping" around and he never once pressured me to use his services. He had integrity and that's hard to find in physicians these days.
The only thing that's holding me back from committing to using Dr. Kaufman is the cost - he's not cheap, but to be fair, he's the best Prosthodontist I've met with by far. Other Prothodontists have quoted me half or 2/3rds of the cost that he will charge, but again, he's the best I've met with thus far.
I've been saving up for a while to get crowns and have my teeth restored, but don't have the full amount that would be needed for my treatment if I were to go with him. Regardless of my final decision, I would recommend everyone to go with him 100%.
