About Dr. Paola M. Correa

Dr. Correa earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, Dr. Correa practiced General Dentistry for 2 years and realized her true passion was in pediatrics. She then completed her clinical and hospital based residency training in Pediatric Dentistry with the University of Florida. Her residency training included rotations at many hospitals including Miami Children’s Hospital in Miami. During her last year of residency, Dr. Correa focused her postgraduate research on knowledge and attitudes of parents in regards to General Anesthesia vs. Intravenous Sedation. Her extensive training included management of trauma, growth and development, orthopedics, and particular attention in the management of patients under sedation and general anesthesia. Following completion of her residency training in Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Correa joined Main Street Smiles. She is proud to provide full scope pediatric dental services at the Children’s Dental Center in Kendall and the new state-of the-art practice in Children’s Dental Center in Homestead. Originally from Colombia, Dr. Correa is firmly committed to parents and the little ones alike, loves to teach, and places an emphasis on preventative care.
