The doctor was fine and the facilities are great. Although, more signs outside will make it easier to find the office.

Doctor Ashabraner genuinely seems to have interest in what you, as the patient, say and the symptoms conveyed. If he doesn't know a diagnosis right away, he will order blood work, imaging, and or referrals.

I had a 9:40 spot today and called at 9am to e-mail some health reward papers for an insurance incentive. Unknowingly, I was checked in at this time and received a call at 9:30 indicating that the MA was ready to see me. I was 10 mins away and let them know this and I was told by the staff that I could come in upon my arrival to be seen as the MA would be ready for me. I arrived at 9:40 and was told that I wasn’t checked in and would have to be checked in again. 10 mins later I was told that I could come back in because I was already checked in. Once I saw Dr. Ashabraner, I told him that I was expecting my biometric screening to be completed, in addition to discussing some sleep issues I was having. Full disclosure, in marked the reason for my approval being related to my sleep, however on the notes, I indicated that in addition to discussing my sleep issues, I would need a biometric screening completed. When I told him this, he flat out refused to complete the screening and indicated that he was just going to discuss my sleep issues because I was late. I was clearly taken aback by this, so we discussed my sleep issues. At the conclusion of our discussion, I expressed to him my disappointment with him not wanting to complete the screening because he indicated that it would take too much time to set up (I just needed my blood drawn to check my lipids/A1C/etc). He also indicated that he did not review the notes on the appt that included specifics of my sleep issues and request for screening. After that, he left and came back 5 mins later and indicated that another patient had miraculously cancelled and he would be able to complete my screening. I understand that scheduling on Zocdoc may have led to some confusion, however, isn’t it a professional courtesy to review the notes on the appt? Also, he made me feel like it was my fault that he wasn’t going to be able to complete the screening because I was late. Last time I checked, being already checked in, told to come in to see the MA upon my arrival and arriving at my scheduled time is not late, especially considering there was no further paperwork that was needed from my end upon my arrival. On top of that, his personality was very condescending and impersonal given the circumstances. This was the first negative issue I’ve had with him but given some reviews I’ve read since, this isn’t entirely uncommon. I will be looking for a new treating physician after this encounter. I would not recommend Dr. Ashabraner or his office to anyone else.

A very caring physician.
I visited Dr. Aaron for the first time to potentially set up a new primary care doctor. When I provided him with a list of previous medicines I have been on, he began to treat me like I was someone trying to lie for pills. I felt very victimized for pre-existing conditions and was made to feel like I had to convince him of something. I ended up walking out to avoid being further disrespected by someone I had just met. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone after the way I felt when I left that office.
Excellent experience
Verified patient
Dr Ashabraner was straightforward but friendly.
I just experienced one of the most degrading, unprofessional, and hostile acts by Dr. Ashabraner who is a physician in at the IU Health Noblesville location. Equally as disturbing was the lack of concern and care from his manager Kristy (sp) when I spoke with her. To be treated in this manner by a healthcare professional whose responsibility is to provide the utmost level of care for you, it was just the opposite and quite humiliating. I detest this kind of treatment because I believe there could have possibly been a racial undertone to it. I am greatly disturbed that I had to encounter this. As you are well aware, one of the biggest challenges within the African American community is going to see a doctor. Compile that issue along with being treated in an inhumane way, it is another reason for people of color not want and visit a doctor. I hope that this was an isolated incident and that I am the only patient who has ever experienced this type of treatment with your staff. The most unforntatue part is that I am now stuck with out being able to see a doctor before I leave the country because of the unprofessionalism, lack of care, and hostile aggression one of your physicians.

There is a reason I left Community for IU Health. IU Health has taken far better care of me. My only recommendation is to drop the "One issue per visit" policy. Sometimes you make an appointment, and something else health-related comes up that you want to ask about in your visit. I understand that you need to balance your time with other patients and their appointments, but if your patient has a question about something that just started, or just came up, please take the time to listen and offer an answer (if possible) without referring them to the front desk to make another appointment, that might end up being a week or two out.
Another very good visit with Dr. Ashabraner at IU Health. If there was one issue with this appointment (and several others in the past), it was that the wait time at the lab approached 30 minutes.
Dr. Bloch is a very caring physician.
Dr. Gary Fisch is a brilliant, caring physician.
I have seen Dr. Ashabraner only once to date. I have ask Dr. Ashabraner to be my regular family medicine MD as a replacement for my recently retired, long time family medicine MD, Dr. Bruce M. Goens. I was completely satisfied with my visit to Dr. Ashabraner.
