About Abbie Smith
Abbie has worked with the internal medicine hospitalist group at IU Health Methodist since 2011. She transitioned to primary care to treat the entire family and develop lasting relationships with her patients. Abbie earned her Bachelor's degree from Indiana University and completed her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies at Butler University. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with her husband.

Abby is kind and compassionate and she's also a fabulous listener. Upon deciding to speak with a professional regarding pain I've been managing, Abby was the very first medical professional I sought out. I've been seen by Abby four or five times over the last year and a half at two different IU offices. She's always calming and solutions oriented. She recommended a very manageable plan for treating my pain and answered all of my questions and concerns. I left the appointment feeling confident about my health and healing because of her care.
