He completed his internship and anesthesia residency at Walter Reed, then worked as Staff Anesthesiologist and Chief of Obstetrical Anesthesia at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, leading quality improvement initiatives. Dr. Fura is board-certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Society of Anesthesiologists. His research contributions include studies on the efficacy of genicular nerve radiofrequency ablation and experimental biology research on bone's adaptive response to altered activity patterns.
