About Dr. Adebayo Akinsola
Dr. Akinsola has been practicing medicine since he graduated from the University of Ilorin Medical School in Nigeria over 20 years ago. He had his training in Pediatrics at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Nigeria and the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital in New York, USA. His training in pediatrics in both Nigeria and the United States has resulted in the combination of excellent clinical acumen and the use of technologically advanced investigational support in the care of his patients. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Akinsola has a Master’s degree in Epidemiology and did research work at the Medical Research Council Laboratories (UK) in The Gambia where he was involved in vaccine development. One of the studies he was involved in has led to the development of a new meningitis vaccine that is now being used in Africa and Asia and has resulted in the drastic reduction in the incidence of meningitis in these continents. He has been published in the world’s best medical journals.
His vast experience in research has also resulted in his thoroughness and being detailed and precise in all he does. He has worked in multicultural environments and is therefore able to relate well with people of various cultures.
Since moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 2012, Dr. Akinsola has worked as a pediatrician for both private and corporate institutions. He is currently on staff at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
He’s active in his church community and has been involved in various missionary activities. His hobbies include reading, playing tennis and travelling.
Dr. Akinsola speaks fluent English, French, Yoruba and can communicate in medical Spanish. He is married to Bolanle Akinsola, a pediatric emergency medicine physician and they are blessed with two children.

He and his staff were very professional and friendly. They us feel very comfortable. I appreciated that Dr. Adebayo did not refer to my sons using inappropriate terms of endearment. He actually stays in the room and communicates with family. I have had some bad/creepy experiences which is why it took so long to find a new Pediatrician. We have found our new pediatrics home. Dr Akinsola was awesome! Let me just see when we went in my son wouldn’t even let Dr. Akinsola touch him! By the end of the visit Dr.Akinsola made my baby feel so comfortable, the tears were gone and he was all smiles .

Dr. Akinsola saw my daughter today for the first time. I have to say he has such a great disposition and manner about him. He is a great listener as well as communicator. He listened to my concerns with ease and then calmly provided his feedback. I would even go as far as saying out of all the pediatricians my daughter has had, his attitude and bedside manner has been the most joyous. From the time I walked in the office until the time I walked out, all of him staff were truly welcoming and hospitable. I will definitely recommend him to others and I will most certainly be back! We have an appointment next week that I am very much looking forward to. Also, I was seen almost right away...Two thumbs up on that!

Dr. Adebayo at first sight was so pleasent. He made us feel welcomed and at home right away. My son was super scared the moment he walked in, crying and asking if he was going to get any shots. At the end of the visit he was high fiving Dr. Adebayo. My son had been in the hospital this past year for half a month due to health reasons so going to doctors is always hard. Dr. Adebayo addressed all of my concerns and made sure to follow up in regards to my sons hospitalization to make sure there was no residue. Coming from Miami, FL having the same pediatrician since my sons birth and having to let go and find a new trusting one was a hugh issue for me. I have 6 months in the city of Atlanta and this is the first doctor he sees and I am extremely satisfied with the decision I made.
