About Dr. Ailinh Do

Dr. Ailinh Do earned her undergraduate degree in biomechanics at Austin College in Sherman, Texas, and her medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Dr. Do, who specializes in internal medicine and pediatrics, speaks Spanish and Vietnamese. Her primary clinical interests are preventative care, diabetes, high blood pressure and weight management. She sees patients of all ages for the entire spectrum of primary care conditions including vaccines; acute needs such as infections and respiratory illnesses; and chronic conditions such as asthma, obesity, diabetes and hypertension. Her approach to patient care focuses on how the patient wants to be helped. She sees her role in the two-way relationship as listening and sharing her expertise, then developing a treatment plan based on what the patient wants. She enjoys working with her patients toward a sustained goal, which is a healthy, high-quality life. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Physicians, American Medical Association and Texas Medical Association. Dr. Do spends her leisure time doing indoor rock climbing, cooking and exploring restaurants with friends and family. She enjoys dancing and has studied more than 45 styles, including ballet, hip-hop, ballroom, Indian, Latin and hula. She is also a volunteer for the Houston Food Bank.
