What should a new client know about working with you?

I try to keep current in several different ways of working with symptoms, including CBT, DBT, psychoanalysis, archetypal psychology and I'm just starting to learn about Internal Family Systems.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A first session is usually me asking a lot of questions about the client, so I can get as full an understanding of the client's needs as I can. If a client knows what styles of therapy work best for them, that's great, Having a few different ways of approaching a psych problem means that if CBT doesn't work for that client, we still have other options that might be better for that person.

Dr. Daramus is a good therapist, but my appointments keep being rescheduled without a phone call or email to confirm if the new time works for me. This has become an ongoing issue, so I will not be returning.
