About Dr. Albert D'Angelantonio

Dr. D’Angelantonio is an internationally known expert in Foot and Ankle Surgery based right here in New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Temple University, followed by his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University as well. He then completed his Doctorate in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. Further advancing his expertise, Dr. D’Angelantonio was selected as the very first fellow to pioneer and complete a dedicated lower extremity fellowship within the Division of Plastic Surgery at Penn Medicine, specifically at the prestigious Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and University of Pennsylvania Health Systems. This fellowship focused on Lower Extremity Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Prior to becoming President and Chief Medical Officer of Integrated Foot and Ankle Specialists, Dr. Albert D’Angelantonio III served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Penn Medicine from 2012 to 2022. Throughout his career there, he was the first and only faculty member with dedicated expertise in foot, ankle, and lower leg reconstruction. He was also the only foot and ankle surgeon credentialed to have completed specialized training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the lower extremities at Penn Medicine until he became Fellowship Director, sharing his extensive knowledge and experience with his trainees. Dr. D’Angelantonio’s advanced fellowship training and experience focus on providing patients with both functional and aesthetic outcomes for all conditions of the foot, ankle, and lower leg. He actively educates surgeons from around the world each year. In fact, Dr. D’Angelantonio is THE foot and ankle surgeon to other surgeons and their families.
