Overall, he was very knowledgable and had good bed side manner. Only petpev is that - there was no one ahead of me and I sat around for 30 min then asked if I'm going to be seen. If there are emergencies, please let the patient know they'll be called and not forgotten.

Dr. Albert Harary has been practicing Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine in Manhattan since 1984. He is board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.
He attended Harvard College and graduated magna cum laude in 1975. He then received his M.D. degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1979. He did his internship and residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship to specialize in Gastroenterology at the University of Miami Affiliated Hospitals, which he completed in 1984. Since then, he has been in private practice on the East Side of Manhattan.
Dr. Harary is on the medical staffs of Lenox Hill Hospital and New York University Medical Center. He spends the bulk of his professional time caring for his patients. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University School of Medicine and the Director of the GI Motility Unit at Lenox Hill Hospital. He has published numerous medical journal articles and book chapters on gastrointestinal and liver diseases and endoscopic techniques (see his bibliography). His special interests include esophageal and gastrointestinal motility disorders, GERD, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and new endoscopic techniques. He is listed as a Top Doc by the Castle Connolly Guide, is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (F.A.C.P.), and belongs to five professional societies. He is married, has 3 children, and lives in Manhattan.
