About Dr. Alessandro Valverde
Alessandro Valverde, MD, started practicing in 2017 with clinical interests in diabetes care and management. Dr. Valverde earned his undergraduate degree majoring in both biology and chemistry from The University of Texas Pan-American (now The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley) in Edinburg, TX. He then attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and went on to pursue his family medicine residency training at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Residency Program in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Valverde is board certified in family medicine and speaks fluent Spanish. When he is not in clinic, Dr. Valverde enjoys time with his family, exercising, playing basketball and board games.

This is my first PCP since I was a kid. I was nervous about looking for one, with all the horror stories about some. This place was PERFECT, very friendly staff. Dr. Alessandro was really respectful and helpful. Explained everything I didn’t have questions because he answered them before I could ask. I truly recommend coming here if you’re looking. I drove 40 mins and I’m glad I did.

This first visit with Dr. Valverde all that I had expected and then some. The doctors bed side manner was excellent. He listened, observed, and responded in detail. He explained every point. It was the day before a holiday and they were leaving the office early and the doctor took his time with me. Never in the entire visit did I feel rushed. Yes, I will be returning.

The doctor is good, but the experience with ZocDoc was not good. Every time I’ve made an appointment using Zocdoc, I enter my ID and insurance info and the doctor’s offices request it again. I’m not sure why I’m giving you my info if I have to provide it twice. Also the staff at Dr. Valverde’s is not very friendly, including the front desk, the nurse/pa or the person taking my blood. Every one of them appeared to be having a bad day and I never saw them smile once.

The doctor is good!!! But the desk receptionist and his nurse weren’t rude. I was paying and after that I had question about some form that I need to get signed for the doctor and the lady looked annoyed about it and asked to stay aside because she has more pacients to atended. She called any way the nurse to ask him to assist me and when he came to me. He addressed me with “What’s up” but in spanish “Que paso”. I dont think that are manners for a professional nurse. But The DOCTOR was great!!

Visit good, but scheduling could be better (scheduled for 130 appointment, called the day of appointment and was told doctor will not be seeing any patients today due to canceling all appointments in afternoon. The issue was I used PTO to go to visit. Another provider or better hours need to be in place in the event of an issue.

The doctor was great ,very kind, patient, and explained everything clearly. I felt well taken care of during the appointment. But the front desk staff had zero customer service. She didn’t even say hello when I walked in, and when I checked out, she didn’t say a single word. Not even a “have a good day.” I literally said have a nice day and replied to myself “you too” lol That kind of unfriendliness really matters, especially in a medical setting.
I won’t be going back based on the front desk experience alone. First impressions matter, and this one was cold and unwelcoming.

From the online booking to the time I walked out the door, the whole experience was very smooth and not complicated. The front desk communicated everything I needed to know and was nice in answering all my questions. Dr. Valverde was very friendly and professional. He took his time with my appointment and listened to all my concerns which made me comfortable to list them all to him!

Dr. Valverde and his staff were incredibly kind and professional, they worked like a well-oiled machine. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Valverde; he truly listened to everything I had to say and gave thoughtful feedback, which I really appreciated.
The location is also a big plus: very easy to find, not crowded at all, and there’s plenty of covered & uncovered parking available. Overall, it seems like both a doctor and a location I’ll be sticking with!

Dr.Valverde was extremely professional and pleasant from the moment he walked into the exam room. I’m on the bigger side and I was feeling nervous that Dr.Valverde would dismiss my issues and say i needed to lose weight. Instead i was relieved that my concerns were taken seriously and addressed.
I’ll be recommending him to anyone who asks me for Doctor recommendations.

I had a frustrating experience at the front desk. I arrived at 10:20 for a 10:30 appointment, thinking I had completed all the paperwork online. However, I was given even more forms when I got there. By the time I finished, it was just three minutes past my appointment time. While I was waiting, another patient expressed frustration about delays, and the receptionist responded with a comment about people showing up right at their appointment time with unfinished paperwork. It felt a bit passive-aggressive and unprofessional, especially considering I arrived early and only ran a couple of minutes behind due to the unexpected extra paperwork. The attitude at the front desk didn’t make the situation any better.
