Alfred Marc Iloreta is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology and member of the Division of Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, completed his internship and residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center and a fellowship in Skull Base Surgery and Rhinology at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Iloreta’s specific clinical interests include treatment of paranasal sinus and skull base tumors, orbital tumors, the repair of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks, functional rhinoplasty, balloon sinuplasty, and inflammatory rhinosinusitis. His research is focused on health outcomes following skull base surgery, sinus surgery and rhinoplasty, as well as surgical planning, teaching and clinical applications of Virtual Reality. Dr. Iloreta has authored textbook chapters and published manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals in rhinology, facial plastic surgery, neurosurgery and otolaryngology. He has been invited to teach at skull base courses around the country. He is member and has presented at meetings of the American Rhinologic Society, American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, North American Skull Base Society, and the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery.
