Dr. Steinberger attended medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and completed his residency at The Neurological Institute of New York at Columbia University Medical Center. He founded Metropolitan Neurosurgery Associates in 1982 and has performed complex brain and spinal surgeries on more than 10,000 patients. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurosurgery at Mount Sinai Medical School and operates in New Jersey and in New York at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. He continues to publish articles in professional journals and chapters in Neurosurgery text books. He has been selected by Castle Connolly as one of the country’s top Neurosurgeons for many years. He brings enormous experience, judgement and sensitivity to his patient’s needs.
