About Dr. Alfredo Torres

Alfredo Torres, MD is a skilled physician who earned his medical degree from Universidad de Carabobo in Venezuela. Dr. Torres is currently board certified in hematology and oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Torres completed his residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2016. During his training, Dr. Torres was awarded the Best Poster presentation of the ACP Chapter. He was also a grant recipient from the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. Dr. Torres is currently a member of several prestigious organizations including the American College of Physicians and the Harrington Internal Medicine Program, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the Community Oncology Alliance. Dr.Torres is currently an assistant professor at Stony Brook University. He has also served on the Chemotherapy committee at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Torres has several peer-reviewed papers and abstracts in oncology.

Fantastic. Both him, the NP, & LPN greeted my family & introduced themselves, and shook our hands. They explained everything and even took the time to listen to my mom who can just ramble. All asked if we needed anything else and even the doctor asked if we wanted help to get out of the room as my family member is in a wheelchair. This was a model staff. Great experience!
