Dr. Alice Ukaegbu is a doctoral-prepared Nurse Practitioner with board certification from the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) in two specialty areas: Family Practice and Psychiatric Mental Health in the Washington, DC metropolitan area (Maryland and District of Columbia). She has over 28 years of professional experience. Prior to starting Adolice Medical Services PLLC, Dr. Ukaegbu gained valuable experience working with Healthy Horizon Child & Family Care Services, Advanced Neighborhood Pediatric Clinic, Howard University Student Health Center, and Howard University Hospital. She currently practices at Howard University and Adolice Medical Services PLLC.
She is a warm, compassionate provider who cares deeply about her patients and collaborates with interprofessional and interdisciplinary teams to deliver the best evidence-based care. Her goal is to provide holistic care-from prevention and lifestyle modification to screening and treatment of physical and mental disorders. Dr. Ukaegbu actively participates in seminars and conferences for continuing education, living by her motto: we learn every day of our lives.
Dr. Ukaegbu is also an author of a chapter in the 2019 *Manual of Men's Health: A Practice Guide for APRNs and PAs*, titled ?Health Screening and Immunization Issues for Adult Men.? Medication-assisted treatment with buprenorphine is part of the services offered. Excellent care is at the core of our service, and you will not regret booking an appointment with us.
Education: Dr. Alice Ukaegbu obtained her undergraduate and Master's degrees in Family Nursing from Howard University in Washington, DC. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Chatham University.

I had never been to a doctor’s off that was this…unclean. Instead of a tray to put exam items on, she put them on the seat of an office chair. Used an IKEA lamp for an exam light. The bathroom, which was just outside of the office door, was really gross. She seemed like a nice person but I really wanted to shower when I left and I’ve never had that experience from a doctor visit in all my days.

This doctor billed me for lab work and an appointment that I was told was supposed to be covered under the Affordable Care Act. I tried to contact the office several times with my insurance company representative in order to have her resubmit the claim, leaving voicemails and emails. However, I didn't get an answer except once when I called her by myself - she yelled at me to stop bothering her, talk to my insurance and hung up! I'm now stuck with these bills. Others may have had a different experience, but I would not recommend her after what I went through.

I had a great experience during my visit. I went for an annual physical. The medical staff person was very nice and took my vitals and communicated everything needed from me. Meeting with Dr. Ukaegbu was also really great. She asked a lot of good questions that I don’t feel other PCPs have asked me in the past. My physical was very professional and light hearted as well. Had fun conversation and she took her toke and checked everything that I needed. Will definitely be seeing her again!

I saw Dr. Ukasgbu as a new patient during COVID for a physical, and she was great! Very friendly and easy to connect with. Office staff were polite and prompt, and I was seen immediately once my paperwork was filled out. She wanted me to get the most out of my visit (and copay!) and didn’t make me feel rushed or like I wasn’t individually important. Will return.

She was very nice. The way she explained things to me were great. Not like I was stupid but slow enough that I could understand and grasp what she was saying, while feeling comfortable enough to talk. Which I don’t do. It’s a little weird she does the payment before service but other than that the first visit was great.

I am so lucky to have found Dr Alice Ukaegbu. I have had two appointments so far and highly recommend her. She is very thoughtful, knowledgeable, and clearly cares about her patients. I have had doctors in the past that cut me off the second our time is up and they not easy to reach outside of our schedued appointment, but this is NOT the case with Dr Alice Ukaegbu. She encourages me to reach out to her if I have any questions or concerns about medication. She is the perfect combination of professional and personable and really helpful as I try to figure out what medications work best for me.
