Recommend and order appropriate laboratory work, diagnostic studies, medications, and psychotherapy protocols. Collaborate with patients, counselors, families, and primary care and nursing staff to facilitate high standards of care. I have been a nurse for the past 16 years working mostly in the mental health setting providing direct care, and medication administration. I developed a love of caring for the mental health population, during the COVID-19 unit, my unit was closed, and I decided to go back to school to pursue my advanced degree to take a leading role in the assessment, diagnosis, plan, and treatment of the growing population of mental health population.
