Amanda Weingarten is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Lactation Consultant. She believes midwifery is not only about practicing evidence-based medicine but also about ensuring that each patient's understanding and consent are integral parts of the process. She has seen firsthand the benefits of bringing midwives and OB-GYNs together and is deeply committed to listening to the needs, hopes, and fears of her patients to deliver whole-person care that extends into the postpartum period.
Amanda has helped bring over 500 babies into the world, with prior experience providing full-scope midwifery care at Mt. Sinai West, NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan, and NYU Langone hospitals. Her experience includes multiple collaborative practices with OB-GYNs as well as in-hospital birthing centers. Amanda earned her Master's in Midwifery from Columbia University and holds a BA in Psychology from Boston University.
