More about Dr. Amy Bumgardner, MD

Dr. Amy Bumgardner grew up near Orange, Texas and graduated at the top of her class from Little Cypress- Mauriceville High School in 1995. She attended Texas A&M University from 1995-1999 graduating Magna Cum Laude and receiving her degree in Biomedical Science. Dr Bumgardner attended medical school at the University of Texas-Houston from 1999-2003 and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, graduating in the top of her class. She was awarded Internal Medicine Student of the Year during her fourth year of medical school. She did her medical internship at St. Joseph Hospital in downtown Houston prior to completing her residency in Dermatology at the University of Texas-Houston/MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2007. After finishing residency, she worked at the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Spring from 2007-2008 followed by 9 years with The Woodlands Dermatology Associates in The Woodlands, Texas prior to joining Complete Dermatology in 2017. Dr. Bumgardner lives in The Woodlands with her family and is a proud mom to 3 children: Brooklyn, Berkley, and Boston. Out of the office, she enjoys watching her children in their various sport activities, as well as attending Aggie sporting events, traveling, and exercising.
