About Amy Golaszewski
Amy graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Health and a Minor in Chemistry. She previously worked as a Medical Assistant in our Orland Park office before she went back to school to pursue a degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She graduated in 2022 from Midwestern University with a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies including an elective clinical rotation in Dermatology and a capstone project for the Management of Nonmelanoma Skin Cancer in Adults. Amy is excited to be back at Pinnacle Dermatology to continue furthering her career.

My experience with Dr. Amy was excellent today. I was seen at my appointment time and was greeted by her nurse who was very friendly and polite. The doctor gave me a thorough examination and discovered a few suspicious spots and explained them thoroughly to me and what procedure she would like to do I agreed and it was quick and painless, and the overall experience was excellent.

I left this appointment feeling dismissed and frustrated. She quickly chalked up my hair thinning/itching to genetics and nerves—without running any blood tests, asking about my stress levels, or checking for vitamin deficiencies or hormonal imbalances. When I mentioned my daughter might also be at risk due to her assessment, she laughed and kept a grin on her face. That felt incredibly insensitive.
She confirmed my follicles are still present, yet offered no explanation as to why no hair is growing. Her only solution? Over-the-counter Rogaine and a suggestion to “maybe invest in a wig.” No effort to investigate. No curiosity. Just a blanket answer: “genetics.”
To top it off, the checkout staff was cold and unwelcoming—not outright rude, but definitely unfriendly.
This visit was a complete waste of money, and I will not be returning. If you’re looking for someone who takes your concerns seriously and is willing to dig deeper than surface-level assumptions, I’d look elsewhere.
