Originally from a suburb near Detroit, Amy was drawn to the field through early personal experiences with mental illness and addiction in her family. Amy began her healthcare journey as a Registered Nurse before earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan and her Master of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University. Her clinical approach blends empathy, education, and collaboration, empowering clients to take an active role in their care.
She specializes in trauma-informed, culturally competent care, incorporating techniques such as motivational interviewing, DBT skills, and dual-diagnosis support. Amy’s nonjudgmental, strengths-based mindset is especially impactful when working with individuals facing both mental health and substance use challenges.
Known for her curiosity, adaptability, and compassion, Amy is a proud LGBTQ+ ally dedicated to inclusivity and authenticity. Now based in San Francisco, she enjoys hiking, experimenting with vegan recipes, relaxing in parks, and indulging in video games and reality TV. Her warmth and dedication make her a trusted partner in each client’s mental health journey.
