About Angelica Sorisi
I am a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of clinical experience specializing in the management of metabolic health disorders, hormone replacement therapy, osteoporosis, and anti-aging medicine. I have undertaken advanced training in obesity management, nutritional science, and exercise physiology. I gained advanced knowledge in integrative medicine through a fellowship program at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. I'm passionate about combining conventional medicine with evidence-based integrative approaches to create personalized treatment plans. She took the time to really listen to my concerns, answered all of my questions, and never made me feel rushed. I felt comfortable and confident in her care, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about her patients’ health. I highly recommend her.

I booked my appointment via Zocdoc as per their website. When I got there they were not aware of my appointment. Then I met with the doctor (not the NP I booked with) and he made it seem like I wasn't doing enough. Meanwhile I've lost 20 lbs, I weight train, increased my protein intake, etc but he asked why didn't I increase my GLP-1 dose (at most I have maybe 10 lbs to lose) cuz you can "never be too thin" and that trainers weren't going to help me strength train, they were only there to increase attendance at the gym. It was an awful experience. Its irresponsible to tell patients to increase their GLP-1 dose if they don't have much weight to lose. Its also irresponsible to tell patients they can't rely on any trainers for their strength training without offering an alternative. And it's absolutely irresponsible to tell patients "you can never be too thin"!

Friendly family-run practice. I was welcomed warmly on my first visit by Josephine who was very kind both over the phone and in-person; she was sensitive to my scheduling needs and made sure I was able to be seen quickly.
John brought me to the exam room, welcoming me with a smile and easing my nerves with friendly conversation while attentively taking my vitals and discussing my medical history.
My pcp, Angelica is the reason I came to this practice. She is an incredible listener and helps me understand my plan of care while keeping me completely involved in the decision making process, and she lacks the cold, clinical, over-starched white coat manner that I find so often while being herded through the chutes of corporate medical practices. She values my opinions and thoughts on my care, and I never feel rushed.
This practice and team feels less like a business, and more like a part of the community. I'm grateful to have found such a gem of a practice that feels like home.
