I have been working closely with trauma survivors for over 7 years and working in a community setting within the last 6 years. In these settings, I have worked extensively with the substance abuse population and with children whom have experienced severe trauma. Much of my work also includes working with and repairing relationships and improving communication.
Additionally, in the last three years, I have been administrating, scoring and interpreting psychological tests for populations such as the learning disabled, those with childhood disorders like ADHD, and populations with mood, anxiety disorders and substance abuse.
More recently, I have been teaching at Mercy College Kaplan University, Manhattan College, College of New Rochelle at the Master’s Level and/or Bachelor Level, in the department of Mental Health and Counseling and the Department of Psychology as an Adjunct Professor. I am trained in EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. I am also certified in Acute Traumatic Stress Management.
