My subspecialty is Addiction Psychiatry, and I have been treating dually diagnosed patients throughout my entire career. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland College Park and earned my Doctor of Medicine from Howard University College of Medicine in 2003. Always a great time the best of doctors
I think i'm waiting for a phone call. I didn't know I had to fill out all the information. It's my fault, I didn't know exactly what a phone screening was. I thought I was just waiting for a phone call like before. I apologize. I'll know next time in advance. I happened to miss a appointment because I thought today would resolve everything resolve everything just 1 great doctor today, Dr. Maroof. So now i'm freaking out a little bit. :/ It was & important appointment.
I would give my first appointment with Anissa Maroof, 100% on accuracy of my treatment. Very kind and considerate, listened to me very well. Anissa Maroof is the first doctor to treat me like a human and not just a number.
    Thorough, experienced and kind.

She was very understanding and caring, she listened while i talked, previous doctors that I had been to rarely said anything back while i talked. I’m looking forward to our appointments.
Dr. Maroof never contacted me before arriving to her practice, but acknowledged that I had an appointment through Zocdoc app. I called her business line outside her practice to enter the building. She told me consultation fee was four times higher than most zocdoc psychiatrists listed to discourage me. She stated that all doctors within the area would be the same price, so it would be best if I used a doctor within my HMO. This act sounds a lot like racial profiling.
She has been so helpful with my health and recovery as a cancer survivor. She recognized that my appetite was effected by not just my treatment's but also my feelings. She has made me feel very comfortable with her to share things I've told no one. Thank you.

Very attentive and informed professional. Dr. Maroof really seems to care about your situation and your personal treatment plan. Would definitely recommend.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Maroof for about a year and a half now and I have to say that she’s without a doubt the number one healthcare professional I’ve ever had. She’s the first doctor I’ve ever met that has helped me not only in dealing with my health, but also helped me navigate the red tape associated with the healthcare industry and insurances, and to me those little things make a huge difference. So if you’re on the fence about who to make an appt with, I’d highly recommend Dr. Maroof - she’s an incredible doctor.
amazing doctor, took the time to listen to what i have to say and understand my problems since it all started more than 10 years ago, and evaluate how things changed since then , she explained how are we going to deal with it, what are my options inclding medication and explained how each one work and what to expect, making sure to minimize the side affects. I highly recomend Dr. Maroof
The waiting room is beautiful and cozy. Dr. Maroof was extremely professional, insightful, and easy to talk to. I'm so happy I found her. Will definitely be sticking with her.
