From that moment on, she recognized that infertility was not just a medical diagnosis, but a time of crisis. She went on to study under world-renowned fertility experts at the University of California - San Francisco where she completed her MD, simultaneously earning her MS from the University of California - Berkeley in Health and Medical Sciences. But, it was then that Anne’s perspective changed. “I’ll never forget when my own doctor told me and my husband that it was time to try IVF. I was actively writing a paper on the lived experiences of fertility patients when I found out I was going to be a patient myself. It was surreal, to say the least.” As a result, more than most other fertility specialists, Anne understands that providing compassion, high-quality care, and personal attention is critical during treatment. “I experienced the crisis myself. I saw that a holistic and personalized approach to fertility medicine was desperately needed and I made it my professional mission to bring that option to my patients.” When Dr. Davis had the opportunity to do just that and return to San Diego as a Reproductive Endocrinologist, she jumped at the opportunity, “I was thrilled to be coming home! I am a California native so it was an easy decision to bring my experience with mini IVF back to where my passion for reproductive medicine began - San Diego.” Prior to returning to California, Anne completed her training as a Reproductive Endocrinology Fellow at the Cleveland Clinic where she participated in groundbreaking advances in reproductive surgery, including the first successful cadaveric uterine transplantation.
