About Dr. Annie Khurana
Dr. Annie Khurana, MD
A Vision of Compassionate Care in Sun City
As the founder of Pinnacle Health, Dr. Khurana has always believed that healthcare should be personal, compassionate, and accessible to all. Her journey to opening Pinnacle Health was inspired by years of experience as a physician in the fast-paced world of large healthcare systems.
Dr. Khurana completed Residency training at the Department of Family and Preventative Medicine, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she also served as Chief Resident for her Residency Program.
Dr. Khurana then pursued a formal fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine. She was awarded "Outstanding Resident Award" and "Best Patient- Physician Relationship Award" at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences amongst several other recognitions. She then proceeded with another fellowship to specialize in Critical illness Supportive care and Advanced illness symptom management, from the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Washington, Seattle.
Dr. Khurana has served at Banner Health in Sun City, Arizona and was formerly a Medical Director, at Optum Care Arizona. She served as a Physician Advisor at the Central West Regional team at Humana, as well as Cigna Medicare as the Executive Market Medical Director. Dr. Khurana has received several awards and recognitions in her clinical career and was peer selected as Phoenix Top Doctor for the years 2021 and 2022.
