After working on his master's degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Dr. D'Amato attended medical school at The University of Bologna in Italy. Dr. completed his internship at Grasslands Hospital in Valhalla, NY followed by his residencies at Wills Eye Hospital & Associated Eye Residencies of New Jersey at New Jersey College of Medicine & Dentistry. Dr. D'Amato served at the Academy of Health Science's for the US Army & was honorably discharged with a Captain's Rank. Dr. D'Amato served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Columbus Hospital in Newark, NJ. At the present time Dr. D'Amato is affiliated Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ as well as St. Claire's Hospital in both Dover & Denville, NJ. He is an assistant clinical professor in ophthalmology at New Jersey Medical School.
