“Dr Landa is absolutely the best retina specialist! I have been his patient since November 2019. He rectified a botched attempt of another Dr who teamed havoc on my right eye. He gives his honest opinion and I appreciate it.”

Dealing with the issues in my eyes has been very scary, but I will say having Dr. Landa really puts me at ease that I am going to be ok.

Very lovely offices and exam rooms. Staff easily puts you at ease without a shred of pretense. Dr.’s “bedside manner” was incredibly warm. You feel pampered and reluctant to leave...
Verified patient
I was very pleased with my visit. I was thoroughly examined and had everything explained to me in clear and precise language.

Dr. Landa is empathetic and puts you at ease - especially if you're nervous about a potentially scary health issue! He also seems very knowledgeable and experienced. Though the wait time was long and the administrative service in the office is wanting, it was totally worth it because Dr. Landa is so wonderful.
The entire experience was extremely professional

Very knowledgeable doctor. His staff has a very demeaning attitude however, and I did not enjoy the way that I was treated. I have very very bad vision with astigmatism, and came in with double vision. Without my contacts I could not judge depth or walk very easily. I kept getting shuffled from room to room without any assistance. I had to remind the employee helping me that I could not see, as she kept telling me to go "over there", and set my bag and coat down "down there". How could I do that when I can't see anything but one big blur?? What a horrible way to treat a patient. Not only that, but it was my first time getting my eyes dilated, and they gave me no precautions, or warnings about how badly my eyesight would be affected. It took about 3 hours until I could see normally again. I could barely get an uber as I could not focus my eyes on my phone (there was no way I was going to be able to take the subway with the effects of the dilution.) If the office had cautioned me about this, I would have arranged transportation home prior to the visit. I would still recommend visiting this practitioner despite the awful employees, and their callous attitude, as the doctor is excellent.

Great visit. All staff was nice!

The Doctor was great. The office itself was a bit chaotic, and the appointment took quite a long time (2 hours), with lots of waiting in between small tests.
Good. Friendly staff, clean office, Dr Landa was very gentle but did not solve my problem. I spent more than two hours in there and went out with the same doubts.
Verified patient
Doctor was good; wait time was too long.
Verified patient
I think he was very patient and kind. He told me if my eyes were bothering me to come back immediately. I am relieved that I went.
Excellent service.

I visited another doctor before Dr. Landa. That doctor was fine and appeared to have all the right credentials. But he really didn't encourage me to ask many questions. I planned to go ahead with that doctor until I visited the NY Eye and Ear infirmary website. NY Eye and Ear was highly rated by US News and World. So I visited their website and reviewed the page on their retina specialists. I was blown over by their qualifications and experience. I chose Dr. Landa based on his background and experience dealing with my condition and his availability to see me as quickly as possible. He is friendly. He listens. He encouraged me to ask any and all questions and to call him at any point with any other questions. He described the procedure - the preparation, actual procedure, risks, likelihood of improved vision as well as potential problems after surgery, and probable recovery time. I felt he was honest and provided a detailed and easy to understand description of what to expect. I'm confident that I made the right choice and I scheduled the surgery right after meeting with Dr. Landa. I wasn't comfortable taking that step after meeting with the doctor at the first hospital I visited. At this point I recommend Dr. Landa without reservation!

Dr. Landa has phenomenal bedside manner. Unfortunately, the clinic is so unprofessionally run that a five-minute follow-up consult seems to require a three-hour wait. Unless you relish wasting time shuttling from one waiting area to another, with no clarity regarding how long you will need to wait, avoid using this clinic. My first visit took three hours. With my follow up, I gave up after an hour and a half, when I had not even been taken in for the first test. Now looking for another ophthalmologist.

The Doctor went out of his way to adjust his schedule to my availability! The examination was thorough and anticipated all possibilities. Followup appointments have been scheduled in order to be sure that all possibilities are covered.
