About Dr. Anthony F. Provenzano

**Note: Dr. Anthony Provenzano does not see pregnant women and patients with sickle cell.** Dr. Anthony Provenzano is a practicing Medical Oncologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester in Bronxville, NY. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and his Doctor of Medicine from Cornell University Medical College. With 36 years of experience, Dr. Provenzano’s areas of interest include lung cancer, breast cancer, genitourinary cancer, GI malignancy, lymphoma, esophageal cancer, head and neck malignancy, and melanoma. He is published in various peer-reviewed oncology journals such as the Journal of Oncology Practice and the Journal of Clinical Oncology (JOCO). Notably, he is an author and committee member for the ASCO guidelines on Laryngeal Preservation of Head and Neck Cancer and Malignant Melanoma, recently published in JOCO. Dr. Provenzano has lectured extensively and has a special interest in the toxicity of immunotherapy treatments for malignancy. He has also contributed articles to ASCO Connection. He serves on ASCO’s clinical guideline committee and is part of the Advisory Guideline Group to the Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee. Board certified in Medical Oncology, Dr. Provenzano is current with Maintenance of Certification (MOC). Additionally, he holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and has a keen interest in applying mathematics and physics to oncology diagnostics and treatment. Beyond these areas, he focuses on cancer genetics, immunotherapy, and basic science applications in cancer diagnostics and treatment. Dr. Provenzano is chairman of the Cancer Committee at NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital and has played a key role in attaining and maintaining accreditation for the Cancer Program.
