Dr. Anton Jirka attended the University of Texas, San Antonio, where he received his medical degree. He completed his residency in family medicine at the same university. He began his educational journey by completing a bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas, Austin. He presently practices at MedFirst Primary Care Medical Center. Dr. Jirka is a dedicated family physician and actively serves the community of San Antonio, TX.

I am a fairly new patient with Dr. Jirka. I have been able to get appointments quickly, and Dr. Jirka has been very good at listening to whatever issues I am having and has promptly either referred me to a specialist or provided a solution for me. The wait time is short and the office seems to be run very efficiently. I have been very please with my experiences, and I am glad that I found Dr. Jirka on Zocdoc!

I took my dad to see Dr. Jirka and I was extremely pleased with the amount of time he spent explaining each of the medications he prescribed and their function in relation to my dad’s health problems. Normally my dad is a tough customer and Dr. Jirka gained his respect. I feel fortunate to have finally found a doctor my dad is will listen to.

Dr. J has been seeing me for many years now. We have a good rapport and I feel very comfortable talking to him about medical issues. I have referred him to other family and non-family individuals many times. His time per visit is what it is though - not his fault. He usually solves my issues in the one visit.
