About Dr. Ara Shafrazian
Dr. Ara Shafrazian, M.D., is a Glendale native and a product of the community he was raised in, which motivated him to return and give back by helping care for that same community. He completed his undergraduate education in Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Shafrazian earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Upon graduation, he completed his family medicine residency on the East Coast at Temple University-affiliated St. Francis Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, and Wilmington, DE.
Dr. Shafrazian is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He has trained in multiple facets of patient care, from newborns to the geriatric population. His extensive exposure to various disciplines of medicine—including hospital medicine, sports medicine, and obstetric care—has provided him with valuable experience in managing patients with an understanding of the complexity of each individual’s care.
Dr. Shafrazian’s philosophy centers on patient-centered care and an evidence- and guideline-driven approach to managing each patient’s specific needs while respecting their individual goals. In his free time, Dr. Shafrazian enjoys many hobbies, including tennis, basketball, and spending time with his family.

Friendly staff and very transparent when explaining all procedures. The Doctor broke down what I should expect in the oncoming years in regard to tests and preventative care in addition to check-ups.
Although I wasn’t seen right away, I waited less than 5-10 minutes. No complaints!
Would recommend to other patients in need of a physician.

It was my first time visiting Dr. Shafrazian. I am so happy that I chose him as my primary physician. His office was easy to find, parking was great, staff were very friendly, office was super clean and modern, and the doctor himself was kind, respectful, understanding and easy to speak with it. I would highly recommend Dr. Shafrazian and his practice to others.

I came in early around 1:30 for a 2 pm appointment. I was immediately brought to the back to get my vitals and provided the reason for the visit and symptoms I experienced. The doctor then saw me within 5 minutes after the nurse got my information and Dr. Shafrazian was very nice and accommodating. He told me what needed to be done for labs and prescription. Since, I was a previous patient, they didn’t have to check my ID and credit card information. I was out there by 2:02 pm. Two minutes after my scheduled appointment. The staff was friendly. I highly recommend LibertyMed Health and Dr. Shafrazian.

Dr. Shafrazian listens to patient's needs and works well to educate the patient. He takes his time and you never feel rushed. He truly wants the patient to be well through a healthy lifestyle and not just medication.
