She knew what to look for and was able to diagnose me very quickly while communicating clearly so I understood what she was doing and how she arrived at her diagnosis. Her support staff was excellent as well, very personable and with excellent manners. Excellent experience overall, I would highly recommend her and her practice.”

About Dr. Archna Vajpayee

Board-certified family medicine specialist Dr. Archna Vajpayee earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and her medical degree at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She completed her residency in family medicine at Christus St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, where she was named Resident of the Year in 2004. Being a family physician allows Dr. Vajpayee to combine her lifelong interest in the sciences with her extrovert’s love of working with people. She treats common chronic conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, and acute conditions such as common colds, sinusitis, and minor injuries. She also provides well-woman exams. One of her primary clinical interests is preventive care. She enjoys helping patients identify lifestyle changes and other things they can do now to become and stay healthy. Her approach to patient care centers on teamwork; after she diagnoses a problem, she works together with the patient on a solution. Critical to that teamwork for the physician, she believes, is to be empathetic and a good listener. A lot of diagnoses come from simply listening to what patients say and their descriptions of what they are experiencing. Her favorite part of practicing medicine is getting to know her patients on a deep level, learning about them, their families, jobs, and what’s going on in their lives. She also enjoys medicine’s problem-solving aspects and how she can apply them to work as a team with her patients. Dr. Vajpayee is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Medical Association, and Harris County Medical Society. A resident of Bellaire, Dr. Vajpaynee is married and the mother of two young sons. When she is away from her practice, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and yoga.

Dr. Archana Vajpayee was great. She sat down, took the time to listen to everything I had to say and patiently answered all of my questions. She was not in any hurry at all. She spoke with a very calm demeanor. Her staff was excellent and very friendly. Would recommend her to everyone.
