Arghiris Barbadimos is a diligent and caring physiatrist and pain management specialist serving the community of Stamford, CT. Dr. Aris Barbadimos was medically trained at
Danbury Hospital, an affiliate of Yale University, and at the Albert Einstein-Montefiore Medical Center. He specialized in Sports Medicine at the University of London with continuing education at UCLA for Pain Management and Acupuncture. Dr. Barbadimos joined the faculty at Albert Einstein in 1997 as an attending physician in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and still maintains the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor.

very knowledgeable. identified my issue the oldfashion way........he palpated my back from top to bottom. When he hit the pain area, i jumped. It 's a different location than showed up on tests It's sacro iliac not L123 as diagnosed on MRI. Not one of the specialists I visited located the pain didnt touch my back just read the report and declared the location. They were all wrong.

Dr. Barbadimos is a fantastic dr. Excellent diagnostician who actually examines the sore areas to find out what's wrong.
He offers a variety of options, so you have input. He is efficient and effective and manages you well through the process, getting an xray, having someone phone you for an appt in Tully, etc.

The office staff is very friendly, warm and welcoming. They are highly trained in insurance coverage and billing. The office is easy to find, plenty of parking and really very beautiful.
Dr Barbadimos is amazing!
I briefly explained what symptoms I am having and he does a quick test and confirms the best treatment THAT WORKS to knock down my back pain. I am not a medicine taker so he works with me so I am not left in pain that I should have addressed sooner. I feel so very blessed to have found such an amazing doctor

instead of helping me he decided to yell and shout at my physical therapy team even though I came to him for pain management and was suffering.

This was my 1st time visit as a new patient. He's very knowledgeable, approachable, and known in his field. I found him on my own while researching Husky's website to see if his office took my state insurance (thankfully, they did). He was geniunely concerned why I came to see him, asked me what was wrong, what happened to me in the past (previous history), what methods of care/treatment did I undergo already (chiropractic, pain management, physical therapy, any possibly surgeries, X-rays/MRIs, etc.) and then took the time to listen! Although I'm sure Dr. Barbadimos reviewed the paperwork I did online here at ZocDoc & at the office when I arrived at 3:55PM for my 4:00PM appt. (I finished filling out the office paperwork at 4:20PM), in addition to the MRI disc I brought with me, he still talked with me without brushing me off or talking over me, which some doctors tend to do. My MRI disc did NOT have the report on it like Yale New Haven Hospital's Diagnostic Radiology Dept. told me it would, so I need to get the report for that. I also need to get ALL procedure notes from everything I had done with Dr. Rahul S. Anand (CT Pain & Wellness - Fairfield, CT) so on my 2nd appt. with Dr. Barbadimos, I will be able to start my plan-of care!! This will include: Acupuncture, pain injections, etc. I'm SO excited because I've been without any sort of pain management for 2 years, experienced a previous work injury that hurt my mid-lower back, am JUST starting physical therapy again, and eager to gain back a realistic, attainable flexibilty to my life with my back while losing weight and being encouraged with my faith. I highly recommend coming to see Dr. Barbadimos because he is someone I've been praying on to see to help me get better. He gets me, I'm able to ask questions, and this is how a patient/doctor relationship is supposed to be. I am 30 yr. old female, overweight but I carry it well, on the path to losing weight off my frame for health-reasons, involved in physical therapy, and avidly walk/strength-train for endurance & physical fitness.
