“I’m not sure I would have gotten an appointment with Dr. Taitz if not for Zocdoc. He’s very hard to get into. The front office staff was very efficient with check in. Lots of patients, but no one seemed to be waiting that long. Dr. Taitz was incredibly nice. Probably the friendliest and kindest doctor I've been to in a long time. I needed a scan and while I waited a few minutes, the office called my insurance to confirm it would be covered. Dr. Taitz showed me results of the scan, explained everything and answered my questions thoroughly. He was personable and unhurried with me. Even though my “issue” was not something he could help me with, he didn’t make me feel like I had wasted his time. Additionally, all staff members were very friendly (based on personal and observed interactions) and respectful of their patients’ time. When leaving, the front desk asked if I needed to make a follow up appt. I did not but I really wanted to come back because it was such a great experience. ”

About Dr. Ari Taitz
Dr Ari Taitz grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa. After completing medical school at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, Dr. Taitz moved to Chicago where he completed a residency in Otolaryngology (ENT) at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. The residency at Loyola allowed Dr. Taitz to enhance his interests in pediatric otolaryngology as well medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the nose and sinuses. Loyola is at the forefront in training surgeons in the art of endoscopic nasal sinus surgery. In addition, the training at Loyola has allowed for an excellent training in community and office based otolaryngology. Dr. Taitz won the Loyola Resident Research Award for 3 consecutive years, and also authored or co-authored several published papers.
Dr. Taitz has been on staff at Highland Park Hospital and Lake Forest Hospital since 1999. During this time he has developed a wide referral base from physicians treating patients from early childhood through those in their later years. Dr. Taitz has a warm and worldly personality, which allows for easy interaction with patients of all ages. This allows for an office interaction that is comfortable for both Dr. Taitz and his patients, irrespective of age or background. Dr. Taitz maintains excellent relationships with the community referring physicians as well as the nursing and hospital staff, many of whom choose Dr. Taitz and his partners to be their treating physicians.
Dr. Taitz is married to Cindy, and they live with their 5 children in Highland Park. Dr. Taitz can often be found supporting his children at school and sporting activities. Dr. Taitz plays tennis and golf, and whatever quiet time remains is spent as an avid gardener.

I came in with a complaint about pulsating tinnitus and muffled hearing, after a bout of Bell's Palsy, and he basically did not listen to my complaint, he also kind of scolded me on how I handled my bell's palsy, I was ushered over to take a hearing test, no consent requested, he then told me to get an MRI, I called about a week later same complaint, requested a call back... still waiting, I have been getting calls from his office for ANOTHER appointment, afraid not, after I complained to the person who picked up, she told me "well you don't have to!" About scheduling another dissapointing appointment... it seems all they are focused on is billing... I understand its a business, but jeez! I have been suffering with this for over a month, finally went to see my PCP, and he gave me medicine and indications, because I actually do have fluid built up!! Something he did NOT catch... Good luck with this one!

Everything was great when I got there - I ranked office lower because the woman I spoke to Friday was kind of rude and not really for a reason. I’m a pretty laid back person and maybe she was having a bad day. Still wasn’t best first impression cause everyone was amazing when I got there.
