A North Jersey native, Arush Singh, MD, grew up in Paramus and Cedar Grove, NJ. He earned his bachelor's degree and Doctor of Medicine from Drexel University. Dr. Singh completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Boston University and his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of South Florida, Tampa General Hospital. Following years of study outside of New Jersey, Dr. Singh is excited to return home to Northern New Jersey as a board-certified gastroenterology and internal medicine physician to practice gastroenterology at Optum.

I wanted to express my disappointment with the way my appointment was handled today. I’ve been experiencing significant pain for the past three months, and I made sure to communicate this to the office prior to my visit. My urgency for the visit is inspired by my aunt that I lost to cancer from the same symptoms. Unfortunately, despite arriving at the building on time and simply waiting on the second floor, I was marked as late and not seen, just seven minutes past the appointment time. What made the experience more difficult was the dismissive and unprofessional tone of the staff member I interacted with. Rather than offering understanding or flexibility, I was met with a lack of empathy that felt both unnecessary and inappropriate, given the context of my ongoing medical issue. I hope this can be taken as constructive feedback, and that in the future, more care is taken to consider the circumstances and well-being of patients.
The doctor was very friendly and professional. The receptionist was unpleasant and not helpful at all. Arrived early for a 11:30 appointment. The wait time was unacceptable: over 90 minutes before being seen.

Terrible! Doctor needs to learn how to talk to people. No respect at all. My first visit I heard him screaming at his staff. The second visit he ended up screaming at me. I don’t recommend at all!!
