As the senior partner of Mission Peak Orthopaedic Medical Group, Dr. Kale came to Fremont in 1999 after completing his fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the University of Southern California, where he was an Assistant Team Physician and an Adjunct Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has many years of experience in treating patients with orthopaedic problems of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and hand. He has extensive experience and specialized training in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgical techniques involving the shoulder, elbow, and knee. He also enjoys general orthopaedic surgery including the treatment of sprains, strains, and fractures and dislocations in both children and adults. Dr. Kale has diagnosed and treated conditions in numerous professional, collegiate, and recreational athletes and has an exceptional track record in returning athletes to their previous level of sports activities as well as in returning injured workers to their usual and customary work duties. Dr. Kale currently is affiliated with the Sports Medicine Program at the University of California at Berkeley.
Dr. Kale has earned an additional subspecialty certificate in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. In order to become certified in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, Dr. Kale had to be certified in general orthopaedics and perform a minimum of 115 operative cases, 75 of which had to be arthroscopic, during a 12 month period, and pass the certification exam.
