About Dr. Aurora Shehu Wingrove

Aurora Shehu Wingrove, MD, PhD, is committed to delivering the highest level of care to her patients in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She places strong emphasis on continuing education and building relationships with each patient as she treats skin, hair and nails conditions. Dr. Wingrove specializes in adult and pediatric dermatology, including skin cancer screening, prevention and treatment, acne, eczema, psoriasis, immunobullous diseases, vitiligo, surgical dermatology. She has an interest in cosmetic dermatology, including BOTOX®, Dysport and fillers. Dr. Wingrove earned both her MD and PhD (Physiology and Biophysics) at the University of Illinois in Chicago. She was awarded Ervin Ernos Award for Excellence in the Basic Sciences and Outstanding Dissertation Award in Life Sciences. She completed a medical internship at the University of Chicago, Northshore Healthcare System, where she received the Service Value Award. She has completed dermatology residency in Dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Wingrove is dermatology board certified and a member of American Academy of Dermatology, Women’s Dermatologic Society, and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. In her free time, Dr. Wingrove enjoys spending time with her immediate and extended family, travelling, cooking and biking.

The Doctor was very friendly, she made me feel comfortable. I just feel like I left the office more confused and with more questions than answers. I had a hard time asking questions. She was very friendly, but it was hard to get a word in. I know she’s a great doctor, but for someone shy, like myself, it was hard for me to speak because she spoke so much. I was also self pay and the price was more expensive than what they said it would be on the phone. My prescription was also not sent to my pharmacy and I had to call the following day since I hadn’t heard anything. They sent it to a mail pharmacy place when I needed the medication immediately. It was just frustrating. Again, she is a great doctor I just hope if I do another visit, I leave less confused and more listened to. I would like more transparency with cost too since I am self pay, but we live in America and it’s depressing.

Dr. Wingrove is a very intelligent and caring MD. Who is able to help with great attention to detail and empathy. She has the ability to make you feel listened to while adding in her extensive clinical knowledge. Dr. Wingrove has the unique ability to read people and situations very clearly without making you feel judged, instead you leave feeling understood and valued. Not many Drs are as well rounded as Dr. Wingrove.
