Hi, I'm Autumn. If you've been feeling weighed down by anxiety, low mood, or emotions that feel hard to manage, I'm glad you're here. Reaching out takes courage, and you deserve care that feels supportive, not overwhelming.
I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than 17 years of experience in health care. I offer psychiatric evaluations and medication management by video for adults across New York State, so you can get care from the comfort of home, with no commute and no waiting room.
I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, adjustment difficulties, and other mood and mental health concerns. Wherever you're starting from, we'll work together at a pace that feels right for you.
A quick note on insurance: I accept straight New York Medicaid and EmblemHealth Medicaid. I'm not able to see patients with other Medicaid managed-care plans, such as Anthem, Healthfirst, or Aetna, so please check that your plan is accepted before booking.
What should a new client know about working with you?
You don't need to have everything figured out before your first visit. Come as you are, and we'll sort through it together. I'll listen closely, answer your questions in plain language, and make decisions about your treatment with you, never for you.
As a nurse, I care about the whole you, not just a list of symptoms. That means we'll also talk about your sleep, stress, physical health, and daily life, because they all shape how you feel. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based care, and my goal is for you to leave each visit feeling heard and a little more hopeful.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Your first visit is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, and it's really a conversation. We'll talk about what brings you in, your mental and physical health history, what you've tried before and how it went, and what you'd like to feel different. Then I'll share my thoughts, and we'll decide on a plan together. That might include starting or adjusting medication, therapy recommendations, or practical sleep and lifestyle strategies.
Follow-up visits are shorter and focus on you: what's getting better, any side effects, and whether anything needs to change. We'll meet more often at first while we find what works, then space visits out as you start feeling steadier. Questions and concerns are always welcome, and if you ever need support beyond what I offer, I'll help connect you with the right care.
