This visit was a bit rocky. First there was no parking at the facility, which means that they're busy, so that's a good thing. I checked in 10 minutes prior to my appointment and they didn't bring me back until 45 minutes past my appointment time. There were many staff members walking back and forth through the waiting area but they seem to be short staffed for the group of patients waiting for appointments. The layout of the facility could use a makeover because it is disconcerting to see so many staff, but no one being called back to their appointment. The eye exam was fine, but this wound up being an over 2-hour experience and I don't have that kind of time for a simple eye exam in the future.

Barbie Jodoin, O.D., originally from Madison, AL, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Engineering with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering. At Mississippi State, she was an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha and held various offices, including Treasurer.
Dr. Jodoin received her Doctorate from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. At SCO, she served as a Student Ambassador for the college and was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa honor fraternity. During her time at SCO, she received several awards, including First Year Clinical Science Award, various scholarships, and Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. She completed her residency focusing in the management of Refractive and Ocular Surgery at Toyos Clinic in Germantown, TN. Dr. Jodoin had the opportunity to live in several states across the United States because her father was an Army Officer. Her experiences in different parts of the country and situations have helped her as a physician relate to her patients in a better way. Most of her patients know her as, "Dr. J". She recently was an editor and contributor to Dr. Toyos book, Dry Eye Disease Treatment in the Year 2020, a book that has been on Amazon's best selling list since its release. Dr. Jodoin was selected Top Doctor 2019 by Top Doctor Magazine. Dr. J likes to spend time with her husband, Richie, and their pets.
