He has a great warm personality and great stories. He put my 85 year old in-laws at ease all while doing a thorough history and helping them establish needed specialists since they were new to Atlanta. His staff got both parents in at the same time and assisted me with getting my mother-in-law in and out of the building. I would highly recommend him and his staff.

Dr. Ben Thomas, Jr. has practiced for more than twenty years in the Atlanta area and is a graduate from the University of North Carolina Medical School at Chapel Hill. After graduating in 1980, he began his residency in a family practice in Savannah, GA. He moved to Atlanta in 1983 where he practiced and became the company doctor for RJR Nabisco.
He decided to open his own practice in 1987 off of Roswell Road in Atlanta. Combining his passion for family practice and interest in various cultures, he became one of only thirty-one Civil Surgeons in the Metro Atlanta area. By holding the exclusive title of Civil Surgeon, he has been able to provide many immigrants with medical exams to achieve their I-693 status.
Dr. Thomas’ amiable nature and warm sense of humor gives his patients a comfortable, welcoming feeling while receiving professional, knowledgeable care. This doctor is crazy! I went to this doctor for refills on my daily meds as my doctor no longer accepts my insurance. I suffer from anxiety and depression. I left this doc office without any of my daily medications! But I did receive a free inhaler - maybe for my depression?! HORRIBLE. I have insurance that pays 100% of my visit and am still being billed for the office visit!

Dr. Thomas was extremely helpful and personable. I would recommend him to any patient in the area. I will absolutely go back to him for any care needs in the future.

Everyone in the office was very nice. The physician was very kind and seemed knowledgeable. Apparently they do not draw blood there so I had to go elsewhere to get that done at a separate time which is kind of a hassle since I have to take off work again to do that. Id prefer to do it all in one place.

Dr. Thomas was very strange. I don't know if he was trying to put me at ease, but his manner was that of a psychiatrist on a bad sitcom, "Mhm! Interesting! How does that make you feel?" etc. His jokes were condescending, and I felt treated as a child despite being in my mid-20's. It was very uncomfortable and made him seem insincere. I will probably continue to go as it is close to work, and I will only (hopefully) be going in for annual check-ups.

Overall, visit was pretty good. The wait time was a little excessive. I had the first appointment of the day at 730 and wasn't leaving the office until around 945. He is a really nice guy, just be prepared to wait a little bit to see him.

This doctor is very unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable. He makes jokes about serious matters and wouldn't listen to me one bit. After listening to him rant about his view on the medication I have taken for ten years, he proceeded to compare my medical issues with my astrology sign. Do not go to this doctor he has issues!

The meeting was short due to just getting prescription filled, but I waited 50 minutes before I was even seen... then, they said they would call in my script before looking at it, and now I have to go back in to pick it up. a
If you want to use him, block off LOTS of time.

Waiting in the lobby was a little frustrating, at the time anyway, but the overall experience was great.
Dr. Thomas cares enough about his patients to spend a good deal of individualized time with each of them during their visits. Wait times are probably experienced for this very reason but, in my opinion, are completely worth it. He is attentive and it is clear that he aims to provide the best treatment possible for his patients.
I will personally recommend him to friends and family, and truly wish that other doctors would take a page from his book and provide premium care such as this.

First visit went well I was seen promptly and the staff was Very helpful and attentive to my concerns regarding my insurance questions. Backroom staff was friendly and gave straightforward answers to questions. Dr. Thomas is a bit out there but mostly just a funny guy. I really like his attitude and demeanor, overall awesome bedside manner. Was treated quickly and Rx's were filled at my pharmacy within 10 of leaving office.

The actual visit went well. The only concern was with the notification from Zoc Doc. I received confirmation for an appointment on the date I selected only to arrive and be told Zoc Doc scheduled an appointment for the following Friday. The gracious receptionist made a quick change to the schedule so I could be seen for the time I received the confirmation.
