“Very friendly and warm staff! Immediately came in and secretary greeted me and was aware of my appointment. I sat probably less than 10 min in the lobby area and was seen by this doctor! Very personable, attentive, and made the appointment feel like a casual conversation. I definitely recommend for men especially 35+ to establish a relationship with a doctor. ”

He earned his undergraduate degree from St. Lawrence University in New York, graduating Magna Cum Laude and as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He went on to attend St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

I had my first visit with Dr. Benjamin Fernando and was incredibly impressed. He has a fantastic bedside manner and truly listened as I shared my weight loss journey—over 120 lbs. lost, but currently plateaued at 345 lbs. He acknowledged my progress, helped me reflect on where I’ve stalled, and offered the accountability I’ve been needing. He referred me to a dietitian and set clear expectations for our next visit, which gave me a renewed sense of motivation. I also really appreciated the convenience of his late hours—my appointment was at 7:00 PM, so I didn’t have to miss work. I arrived early and was seen 15 minutes ahead of schedule, which is rare and refreshing! Brittany at the front desk was so sweet and helpful, and his nurse (wish I remembered her name!) was wonderful too. I left feeling hopeful, supported, and ready to keep pushing forward. 10/10 experience—highly recommend!
